CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


AGILITY OBSTACLES USED IN OUR CLASSES MEET USDAA STANDARDS

FOUNDATION for  AGILITY- (Instructor Sherry Wargo)
Build a solid foundation or repair holes in your dog's foundation.
This  class gets rave reviews!
We'll focus on shaping behaviors for agility
 and doing foundation work for obstacles. Building drive, working with
toys, crate games, contact behavior (2 on/2 off), circle work, perch work,
off leash focus,  switching from handler to obstacle focus, shadow
handling, & more. Mostly clicker work.
For dogs of  any age over 4 months.
8 weeks (12 hours) $100
 

BEGINNER AGILITY- (Instructor Sherry Wargo)
In this class dogs will learn to properly
 perform the individual agility obstacles. The goal is to have every dog
 performing the obstacles in a safe and happy manner. Any dog may 
repeat this class as many times as necessary to achieve this goal.
An Indoor class.
 

INTERMEDIATE AGILITY- (Instructor Gary Wargo)
Dog/Handler teams learn simple 
sequencing of obstacles. We will stress effective communication 
of commands from the handler, and the development of focus and
 responsiveness in the dog. Dog/Handler Teams may remain in this 
class as long as they wish. The goal is to prepare the dog and handler
 for the advanced class.
An Indoor class. 

ADVANCED AGILITY- (Instructor Sherry Wargo)
Emphasis is on developing smooth teamwork
 and the ability to accurately perform complex handling maneuvers. The
 goal is to produce confident, capable teams, ready to enter and enjoy
 Agility Trials and earn Title
s.
An Indoor class. 

COMPETITION AGILITY- (Instructors - Gary & Sherry Wargo, alternating weeks)
For Dog/Handler teams currently competing 
or ready to compete. Emphasis is on developing smooth teamwork and 
the ability to accurately work together in competition.  Novice teams get 
exposure to teams already competing successfully, and seasoned 
competitors help instruct novice teams. In spring, summer and fall,  class
 limits are expanded and classes are conducted in a fenced outdoor training
 area.  Winter Classes are indoors on a rubber floor.

Outdoors, weather permitting.
 


Each Class meets 1 hour a week for 8 weeks, except Competition Agility classes,
which meet 1.5 hours per week. For information about our
