Canine Casual - Custom Pet Portraits
Digital Paintings by Sherry Wargo, created from your snapshots!
Here are some examples of what I can do from your
photo. Below left is a picture of "Tenae",
a Giant
Schnauzer. The original photo was of several dogs. This closeup of Tenae was
cropped
from the original photo, enlarged to 8"x10" and printed on plain paper
by Tenae's owner. The result is what she brought
to me for the painting. I scanned that
picture at 300dpi to get the image you see below. Tenae's owner liked
the photo,
but didn't like the red eye (this dog has dark eyes, but the photo was taken with
very strong light coming
from low on one side from a setting sun).
She also disliked the ragged appearance of the ears caused by reflected
light,
and the fact that the shadowed side of the face was almost entirely lacking in detail.
The final painting is shown on the right. In the original
photo, the portion we used for
the painting measured less than 3/4 of an inch square. The final digital painting is 9"
x12".
